Emily

Aunt Carrie took 3 of the kids to the pool today. She said Emily was doing flips in the air off of the diving board. Wow, maybe all that gymnastics work is paying off. Ralph and I were impressed! Thanks for the show Ms Em!

Cabin Fever!

A few pictures really cannot tell the tale of a wonderful weekend! Still, it was a fun few days, even as we dodged those thunderstorms. Thank you to Mary and Brian and your great 4 kids, for spending a few days with us up North. A little Bocce Ball, some crawdad fishing and a beautiful smile from our little Miss Lexi! She explained to us this weekend that crawdads were bugs and that they were yucky (but how she said it just cracked us up) and mostly she taught us, it's just really good to be with your family, and always really good to be home with all of those that you love.....Love our Changsha friends, thank you for your friendship!
Love the way you say "Home" Miss Lexi!!!
Sincerely, we are 2 families, blessed with five....

PS I should post that Emily caught the biggest Crawdad....the Granddaddy of them all, congratulations Ms Emily.

At the Cabin

Claire was taking pictures of Shaelee and Emily from the deck. I always wonder, what are those 2 little ones cooking up? They wouldn't tell us what game they were playing or what they were talking about, but it must have been good, because they look like they were having fun. Claire got these beautiful Sunset pictures. Looks like God was painting the skies over our heads...just stunning!

To: S From: S HBD!

Shaelee's best buddy turned 5 yesterday. Shaelee will turn 5 soon as well. Our family is grateful each day to share in the miracle of the 2 S's. Shaelee is more confident, happy and beyond blessed to have come home to AZ and then to have been reunited with her best friend from China! Shaelee loves you Miss Tung Tung (and so do all the C's)! Happy 5th Birthday!
Your AZ family....

Sunday's Sweet Son

Vincent reads everyday, and sometimes twice a day...usually to Dad or Mom, or to himself.
What a sweet boy. I found him Sunday reading The Princess and the Pea to his little sisters. If you ask me, they totally enjoyed his storytelling. I overheard Emily tell him that "real" princesses really can feel the pea under their mattresses. I wonder if I should put one under the 2 Princesses in the picture just to check it out. Emily and Shaelee you are the best little Princesses (of course Claire is our big Princess), and Mr V, you are such a sweet little Prince. Thank you for reading one of your sister's favorite stories.

Soccor Boy is Home!

On Saturday, we picked up our favorite Soccer Boy from his week long camp! It was so good to see him. As a Mom, I know it is important to let your kid's do things independently, but it sure was a long week! Anyway, he had a great time. Before he left I packed him up with 2 disposable cameras, a pre-paid cell phone, and asked him to get email addresses so that he could be in touch with his buddies until next summer. He did text me or call home every night (until Thursday anyway, when he discovered he took the wrong charger with him), which made the time away a little better for Mom and Dad. He did not however; take a single picture, nor did he come home with a single email address. But as you can see from the hugs he got from an older soccer pal, he made lots of friends, which is signature Quinn. We got big hugs, and beautiful Quinn smiles. Ended the day with a picnic with Aunt Kim and Uncle Chris. It was a bit cloudy, and the picnic ended with us packing up quickly as the downpour began. We did not make it to the Grand Canyon, but the smiles on the Kid's faces this weekend were grand enough for us!
Vincent starts a week of camp at the end of the month, he cannot wait!

A special shout out and Happy Birthday to Sienna's Dad!

Gone Fishing for Nemo

Finally I am home, with the sweetest 5 ever! Just a few pictures from last weekend to share. Our cabin is in the heart of some of the best fishing lakes in the State, but our kids are casting their poles over the balcony. I think it's time for some real fishing for these little ones. I still think they are too darn cute catching Nemo, the Bunny and whatever else they can tie to those poles. So happy to be home! Just got a weekend proposal I can't turn down. Pick up Quinn on Saturday, lunch with Uncle Chris and Aunt Kim and then off to the Grand Canyon. The only C to have ever visited the Grand Canyon was Ralph!
Can't wait to pick up Soccer Quinn!!!
Looking forward to some cool weather and beautiful views!
Hugs and Blessings!
